Spring 2009 Tree Planting! |
|
Our Spring 2009 planting will be on Saturday May 2nd. We are hoping to plant 60 trees all over Northeast Philadelphia! We have the tools and the trees, but we are looking for volunteers to help us plant! Please come out and help beautify the neighborhoods where we live, and have lots of fun in the process! Meet at 9am at Al Furqan Mosque at 7252 Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia right next to the Dollar Tree Store at the intersection of Cottman Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard. Rain or shine! Wear clothes that can get dirty and sturdy shoes. If you are interested in helping us plant in the spring: Please sign up here to volunteer and help us restore the tree canopy in Northeast Philadelphia!
We are also looking for homeowners in the Northeast who would like to request a street or yard tree for their home. The trees, and concrete cuts are free - your tax dollars at work! We just ask for a small $15 donation towards our expenses. The trees will be about 6-11 feet tall when they arrive and will planted by Northeast Tree Tenders and volunteers.
