Applications for Spring 2011 Due:

August 30th, 2010

Northeast Tree Tenders is a non-profit community group devoted to restoring the local tree canopy. We are currently looking for homeowners in the Northeast who would like to request a street or yard tree for their home. The trees, and concrete removals are free - your tax dollars at work! We just ask you consider a small $15 donation cover the group’s expenses (which is submitted after your application is accepted). If approved, the tree will be planted in either the spring 2011 or fall 2011 cycles. The trees will be planted by Northeast Tree Tenders and volunteers. All you have to do is water the tree for the first two years!

Our Spring 2010 planting was on May 1, 2010. We planted over 50 street and yard trees all over the Northeast! Despite the unseasonably warm weather, over 60 volunteers came out to make this planting a great success! Pictures from that day are available here: Spring 2010 Pictures.

To date, Northeast Tree Tenders’ volunteers have planted over 270 trees all over Northeast Philadelphia!
